Probate Litigation Attorney

We are seeking a Litigation Attorney to become a part of our Probate Team! You will represent clients in a variety of probate court proceedings including guardianships, conservatorships, decedents estates, and contested will & trust matters; you will draft pleadings, engage in motion practice, and conduct formal discovery; and you will guide clients with compassion through their difficult times.

This position will manage the specialized work efficiently, with confidence and competence. The position requires above average attention to details, concern for the exact correctness of work, and a strong commitment to tasks completed on time. The person in this position will take work seriously, has a strong sense of duty, and is disciplined. A somewhat faster-than-average pace will be the norm for this position. The person in this position will receive clearly defined work, responsibilities, and reporting relationships, ongoing and thorough training opportunities to develop expertise and increase confidence. The position will provide security in a stable work environment, allowing the person to plan for, focus on and complete tasks on hand.

The perfect candidate will:

• Value the back-office support of an established firm with a good reputation.
• Be able to (or will learn) direct contested probate cases independently with little to no supervision.
• Is willing to appear primarily in the Maricopa, Pinal, and other Superior Courts of Arizona as needed.

We want to meet with you if you have solid experience in Arizona Superior Courts and can confidently care for our probate clients or are willing to transition into probate. You'll likely need to have handled over 50 cases in the Superior Court and litigated at least a dozen. (If you are potentially looking for a lateral move as a more senior attorney, we are interested in speaking with you, too.)

Bilingual not necessary. Background checks will be conducted. 

References will be contacted. Active Arizona Bar license in good standing required. Non-smoking law firm.

Compensation:

• $90,000 - $120,000 DOE
